Blended Families
Posted April 14th, 2009 by Women of FaithI attended the Women of Faith Conference in Shreveport, LA on March 27-28, 2009. I attended the Friday event and during the question and answer session, a question was asked to Sandi Patti about discipline in Blended Familes. Being a stepmother the way she answered it was really important to me. Being the stepmother of a 13 year old and knowing that the way my husband and I are doing the discipline the way she did in her family was really uplifting and encouraging. She suggested letting the parent be the one to hand out the discipline and the step be the support.
That is how we are doing it in our family and it seems to work. Hearing that from such a Godly women and one that has made mistakes but God is still using her was such an inspiration. Thank you for allowing those question and answer sessions. The questions are always good ones and the seakers really answer them from their heart.
Thank you Sandi for sharing your life with us.
