Mary Graham’s Great Adventure

Tomorrow I’m going on a great adventure with my friend Patty. In the seventies/eighties, we traveled almost all over the world―this is our first trip since. Our most adventurous (as in scary) trips were to Northern Ireland, China and (many times) the former Soviet Union.

Next week is the 20th anniversary: the beginning of the death of Communism in the USSR. It was AMAZING NEWS then & now. Tomorrow we’re going to (the former) Leningrad where we were when the wall came down, such a HUGE surprise. And very historic.

I learned so much from Patty. Especially to ‘Never be afraid. Never, ever be afraid.” It’s time I spent a few more days with her. If we almost get arrested for sharing our faith, it will be AWESOME! I leave so much behind. Hard for me to go, but only for 6 days. Sometimes ‘faith barriers’ must be broken. It’s how we learn and grow. From numerous trips Patty’s voice still rings in my head, “Be brave, Mary. Be very brave.” I’m being brave now. = )
