Fall is tied for my favorite season. I love driving with the top down all day and night (ok sometimes with the heater on!), seeing the crystal blue skies and the changing leaves… and hiking trails to take pictures… It shows God’s creation dressed in all the colors of the rainbow for us to enjoy and moves me to praise His name all the more. I currently reside in Texas so we don’t get much–but will be in RI over the next month and plan to take LOTS of pictures :)

I love all the different vibrant colors that come in the fall, the cooler weather, and being able to snuggle up with a blanket, book, and cup of hot tea! For me it also represents a shedding of the old, before a season of rest.

  5. Meri Harrington says:

I love the smell of the leaves and the feel of a cuddly sweater. I love that my little boy can play outside to his heart’s content without the worry of sunburn or bee stings. And I love the symbolism between the cross and the wait for spring, a reminder that all things are being made new.

  6. Nancy Candy says:

In addition to the beauty of the changing leaves and the cooler weather the smell of someones fireplace while I’m walking brings a smile to my face. It brings back many memories of camp roasting marshmellows and singing and also of times spent with family and friends around my parents fireplace growing up.

  7. Esther Brandt says:

I love the cooler weather, the ability to walk outside without sweating up a storm. The feild ripe for harvest, beautiful golds, oranges, and browns. God’s beautiful handiwork.

My husband and I have two ponds, one is a Koi pond the other is a lily pond. Both ponds have a water fall. Autumn is a wonderful time for me to put my recliner lawn chair between the two ponds with a cup of coffee and my Bible study. God surrounds me with beautiful flowers, wild life (bees & dragon flies), falling water that sounds like drops of music, and time to reflect on all God has done.

I enjoy sitting on the front porch swing in the evenings with a cup of hot tea. Listening to the children play in the neighbors yard. The leaves fall from the pecan tree in the front yard, that is also producing the pecans for pies, and cookies. Watching the fall autumn red moon come up over the Georgia fields, as the sun sets in the distance. A crisp soft breeze blows, and the smell of fresh cut hay lingers in the evening air. I sit and take it all in, for God is good, He’s so to all of us.

  10. Phyllis Sullivan says:

I love colorful soft warn socks and jeans with sweatshirts, the crisp cool air, pumpkins and mums, and the bright colors of the leaves. I know once fall has arrived, Thanksgiving and Cristmas are right around the corner! I love everything about fall!

Fall is my favorite as everyone is harvesting their crops that they have been tending to all summer, including my family (brothers are farmers) There is a certain smell that fall has & I’ve taught my children to notice it, as our son is home for a visit from Hong Kong this year, so he is to enjoying the many parts of fall, helping can the vegetables & fruit. It is gathering for the long winter ahead, here in Nebraska.

  12. Grace Lane says:

Fall is one of my favorite seasons of the year because once again we get to the awesomeness of God in His creation. I love the Autumn colors; the brilliance of the red, gold, and orange leaves. I also love the crispness in the air. Along with autumn comes bon fires and time spent around them with friends; hayrides and carving pumkins! To top it all off is Thanksgiving, a time to once again raise our voices to God for all His many blessings! It is also a time to thank Him for all our trials, for through them He makes us strong.

  13. Susan Whempner says:

Fall is my favorite time of year. Cooler weather is finally on the way (I’m in So. California), I love the colors of the changing leaves, football season, and putting out my fall decorations. I enjoy cooking warm, cozy meals like stews and chili.

  14. Renda Olson says:

Ok, I will admit it. It’s because I’m a fall baby. My birthday is in September. I love the cool breeze and the hot cup of tea.
God just speaks to me so soft. Plus my hubby and I love to watch football. I know ladies, I know.. but it really is fun. Plus it’s an opportunity to make lots of fun finger food and no left overs!

  15. Maggie Morrison says:

My favorite thing would be the changing of the leaves, not a single one the same color; just as we are all created different. There is nothing more breathtaking than to look out your balcolny over valley below of trees painted in autumn colors covered in a blanket of low lying fog with the aroma of a woodburning fireplace. A piece of heaven, oh did I mention this was the cabin we rented last year in Blue Ridge, for my birthday. Colors certainly can effect your mood; I feel warmth from the autum colors, a calming but invigorating europhia. Maybe I like autumn so much, it’s the calm before Christmas rush; or that it’s one more gift of nature that God gives us that can’t be made by man!!!!!

  16. Sara Hamilton says:

Sunlight glistening on dew, cool breeze and colorful leaves reminds me harvest is near. I love autumn mornings.

  17. Renee` Wiggins says:

I do in fact love the changing of the colors of the trees and the color breezes and the warmth the season brings. From fall on, I think of how thankful I am for God’s goodness, blessings and favor.

  18. Kim Wilson says:

I love fall because the temperature if not too cold and not too hot. Here in Texas we often have extreme changes of the weather. One day it is hot and without warning it is cold. I wish the fall and the spring were taking up the whole year and we would have less winter and summer. I also love the colors of fall. It always reminds me of what an artist our Lord is.

  19. Judith Bates says:

Autumn reminds me not only of God’s creation of beauty, which in and of itself is a masterpiece, no one can truly capture all of the beauty of Autumn, for our minds cannot truly take it all in, but we do see the changing of the leaves,we feel the cool breezes, we hear the rustling of leaves, but most of all His created beauty of Autimn reminds me in His word where he said “The grass withereth, the flowers fadeth, but the Word of God shall never change. So, yes he gives us beauty in the 4 seasons, but yet greater is that his word is always breathless to us.
